Our take on the DELTA 2 Max
- Who it suits
- Consider the older EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max if you plan to add batteries and expand to 6,144 Wh.
- Who should skip it
- Skip it if you require a 10 ms UPS switchover; the manual specifies 30 ms.
- Closest alternative
- The current BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 offers 2,600 W continuous output and a 15 ms UPS, but BLUETTI lists it as not expandable.
Good for
- Expanding to 6,144 Wh with two DELTA 2 Max Smart Extra Batteries.
- Six AC outlets rated for 2,400 W continuous output.
- Solar input up to 1,000 W across two inputs, each limited to 500 W.
Not for
- A 240 V well pump; the DELTA 2 Max supplies 120 V.
- Frequent carrying; this model weighs 50 lb.
Before you buy
- The manual lists a 30 ms EPS switch, while an EcoFlow overview advertises an updated 20 ms UPS; we show 30 ms.
- An AC-only full-charge time is not stated by EcoFlow; its overview lists 80% in 1.1 hours from AC.
- Car charging supports 12 V and 24 V at 8 A; wattage is not stated by EcoFlow.
Measured by others
Figures other outlets published from their own tests of the DELTA 2 Max, credited by name. Methods differ between outlets, so read each figure with its stated conditions.
- Usable capacity: 1,800 Wh, against a rated 2,048 Wh (a 350 W load through the AC inverter). Reported by StorageReview, July 2023.

What the DELTA 2 Max can run
Estimated runtime on a full charge with one appliance plugged in. We assume 80% to 90% of the rated 2,048 Wh reaches the appliance. The start-up check compares each appliance's published start-up figure (volts times starting amps, in VA) with the stated surge rating. At small loads the station's own idle draw takes a large share, so actual runtime can fall well below the range.

Medical devices. A rating check is not medical advice; here is what device makers and the FDA say.
- CPAP without humidifier (ResMed AirSense 10/11 class): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
- CPAP with heated humidifier (ResMed AirSense 11 / 10): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
- Travel CPAP (ResMed AirMini): FDA: confirm with the maker or supplier that battery or generator power is suitable for your device.
- Home oxygen concentrator (5 LPM): FDA: ask the maker or supplier whether it can run on batteries or a generator, and use battery-powered lights rather than gas lights or torches when oxygen is in use. Seek emergency help if the device is life-sustaining.
- Nebulizer (compressor type), Power wheelchair or scooter charger (24 V, 8 A): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help.
