EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus: specs, runtimes and sources

The DELTA 3 Plus stores 1,024 Wh and supplies 1,800 W continuous (3,600 W surge) at 120 V. It weighs 27.6 lb and takes up to 1,000 W of solar, and EcoFlow says it expands to 5,000 Wh. On a full charge it runs a full-size ENERGY STAR fridge for about 14 h to 15 h by our estimate.

Every figure below is EcoFlow's own claim for the US model, linked to the page or manual it came from. Runtimes are our calculations, with the assumptions shown.

Our take on the DELTA 3 Plus

Who it suits
Consider the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Plus if you want battery expansion up to 5 kWh.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you need more than 1,800 W continuous output.
Closest alternative
The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 provides 2,000 W continuous output if expansion is unnecessary.

Good for

  • Solar charging up to 1,000 W through two XT60 inputs, each limited to 500 W.
  • Expansion to about 5 kWh with supported EcoFlow extra batteries and an Alternator Charger XT150 output cable.
  • Six AC outlets with 1,800 W continuous output and 3,600 W surge.
  • A UPS switchover under 10 ms.

Not for

  • A 240 V well pump; this model does not supply 240 V.
  • Extended use of a 1,500 W space heater.

Before you buy

  • EcoFlow lists X-Boost at 2,200 W in its spec table, but feature text says over 2,600 W. We use 2,200 W.
  • EcoFlow's 800 W car charging figure refers to the separately sold 800 W Alternator Charger; the built-in car input is 12 V at 8 A.
  • Expansion requires compatible extra batteries and an Alternator Charger XT150 output cable.

Measured by others

Figures other outlets published from their own tests of the DELTA 3 Plus, credited by name. Methods differ between outlets, so read each figure with its stated conditions.

  • Usable capacity: 910 Wh, about 88.9% of the rated 1,024 Wh (discharge test; the page does not state the load or output used). Reported by StorageReview, January 2025.

What the DELTA 3 Plus can run

Estimated runtime on a full charge with one appliance plugged in. We assume 80% to 90% of the rated 1,024 Wh reaches the appliance. The start-up check compares each appliance's published start-up figure (volts times starting amps, in VA) with the stated surge rating. At small loads the station's own idle draw takes a large share, so actual runtime can fall well below the range.

Medical devices. A rating check is not medical advice; here is what device makers and the FDA say.

  • CPAP without humidifier (ResMed AirSense 10/11 class): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
  • CPAP with heated humidifier (ResMed AirSense 11 / 10): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
  • Travel CPAP (ResMed AirMini): FDA: confirm with the maker or supplier that battery or generator power is suitable for your device.
  • Home oxygen concentrator (5 LPM): FDA: ask the maker or supplier whether it can run on batteries or a generator, and use battery-powered lights rather than gas lights or torches when oxygen is in use. Seek emergency help if the device is life-sustaining.
  • Nebulizer (compressor type), Power wheelchair or scooter charger (24 V, 8 A): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help.
