FOSSiBOT F7200: specs, runtimes and sources

The F7200 stores 5,222.4 Wh and supplies 7,200 W continuous (9,000 W surge) at 120 V and 240 V. It weighs 154.3 lb and takes up to 2,500 W of solar, and FOSSiBOT says it expands to 15,666 Wh. On a full charge it runs a full-size ENERGY STAR fridge for about 70 h to 78 h by our estimate.

Every figure below is FOSSiBOT's own claim for the US model, linked to the page or manual it came from. Runtimes are our calculations, with the assumptions shown.

Our take on the F7200

Who it suits
Consider the FOSSiBOT F7200 if you want 5,222.4 Wh of LFP capacity, 120 V and 240 V output, and expansion up to 15,666 Wh for longer outages.
Who should skip it
Skip it if you need an easily carried station, expect 7,200 W from a US 120 V outlet, or have a 240 V well pump whose starting demand exceeds the 9,000 W surge rating.
Closest alternative
Compare the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra if you want more capacity (6,144 Wh) and a 0 ms UPS with 120 V and 240 V output.

Good for

  • Longer home outages, with 5,222.4 Wh capacity and both 120 V and 240 V output on US units.
  • A refrigerator averaging 60 W, with an estimated runtime of 69.6 to 78.3 hours from our calculation.
  • A Wi-Fi router and cable modem, which the site calculator estimates can run for 255 h to 783 h.
  • A 1/2 HP sump pump at 115 V, with an estimated runtime of 4.5 h to 6.5 h within the station's rating.
  • Capacity expansion to 15,666 Wh using two separately sold FB5222 expansion batteries.

Not for

  • A 1 HP submersible well pump at 240 V without checking its starting demand. The site calculator warns that start-up may exceed the 9,000 W surge rating.
  • Buyers who need an easily carried station. The F7200 weighs 154.3 lb.
  • Buyers expecting 7,200 W from a single US 120 V outlet. The US 120 V outlets are labeled 20 A.
  • UPS loads beyond the manual's stated 3,000 W limit, which applies to 220 to 240 V units.

Before you buy

  • FOSSiBOT states 7,200 W continuous AC output for 220 to 240 V units in the manual. US 120 V outlets are labeled 20 A, so the full rating does not apply to a single outlet.
  • FOSSiBOT's manual is written for 220 to 240 V units. The US model's 120 V and 240 V outputs are shown in the outlet table and US product photos.
  • FOSSiBOT states 3,000 W AC charging with a 240 V supply. The US unit label shows 1,800 W at 120 V.
  • FOSSiBOT states 1.5 h full charging using AC plus both solar inputs, totaling 5,200 W. Its manual lists 2.5 h using 240 V AC alone.
  • The manual states a 10 ms UPS transfer time and a 3,000 W UPS limit for 220 to 240 V units. Do not assume those limits apply unchanged to every US outlet.
  • The FOSSiBOT manual and warranty policy state 24 months of coverage. The product page advertises 5 years (2+3). Confirm the applicable coverage before buying.

What the F7200 can run

Estimated runtime on a full charge with one appliance plugged in. We assume 80% to 90% of the rated 5,222.4 Wh reaches the appliance. The start-up check compares each appliance's published start-up figure (volts times starting amps, in VA) with the stated surge rating. At small loads the station's own idle draw takes a large share, so actual runtime can fall well below the range.

Medical devices. A rating check is not medical advice; here is what device makers and the FDA say.

  • CPAP without humidifier (ResMed AirSense 10/11 class): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
  • CPAP with heated humidifier (ResMed AirSense 11 / 10): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. ResMed battery guide: it strongly recommends a ResMed DC-to-DC converter over a DC-to-AC inverter when running from a battery.
  • Travel CPAP (ResMed AirMini): FDA: confirm with the maker or supplier that battery or generator power is suitable for your device.
  • Home oxygen concentrator (5 LPM): FDA: ask the maker or supplier whether it can run on batteries or a generator, and use battery-powered lights rather than gas lights or torches when oxygen is in use. Seek emergency help if the device is life-sustaining.
  • Nebulizer (compressor type), Power wheelchair or scooter charger (24 V, 8 A): FDA: ask your device maker or supplier whether the device can run on batteries or a generator, and check settings after power returns. If the device is life-sustaining, seek emergency help.

Questions readers ask

How long can the FOSSiBOT F7200 run a refrigerator?

Our calculation for a refrigerator averaging 60 W is 69.6 to 78.3 hours. The site calculator estimates 70 h to 78 h for a full-size ENERGY STAR refrigerator. Actual runtime depends on the appliance's power consumption.

Can the FOSSiBOT F7200 run a CPAP overnight?

Our calculation for a CPAP with a heated humidifier is 9.3 to 10.5 nights. Each night is 8 hours at 56.1 W. Confirm with the device maker and your doctor before relying on a power station.

Can the FOSSiBOT F7200 run a 240 V well pump?

The F7200 has 240 V output on US units, but the site calculator warns that a 1 HP submersible well pump may exceed the 9,000 W surge rating at start-up. Its estimated runtime of 2.5 h to 4 h applies only if the pump can start and run within the station's limits. Check the pump's starting demand first.

How fast can the FOSSiBOT F7200 recharge?

FOSSiBOT states 1.5 h full charging when AC and both solar inputs provide a combined 5,200 W. The manual lists 2.5 h on 240 V AC alone. Its 3,000 W AC input rating requires a 240 V supply, while the US unit label shows 1,800 W at 120 V. Solar specifications include a 2,500 W high-voltage input and a separate low-voltage input up to 1,200 W.

How much can the FOSSiBOT F7200 expand, and what are its UPS limits?

FOSSiBOT states that two separately sold FB5222 batteries expand capacity from 5,222.4 Wh to 15,666 Wh. The manual specifies 10 ms UPS switching with a 3,000 W load limit for 220 to 240 V units. Because the manual covers those units, confirm the applicable UPS behavior for the US model before relying on it.
